With multiple North Carolina teaching certifications in High School Mathematics, Chemistry, and Science, as well as Middle School Science, I bring a positive and enthusiastic outlook to my role as an educator. My journey in education began with a struggle in Chemistry during my first year in college, but thanks to an exceptional Chemistry teacher who made it easy for me. I went on to earn a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science in Chemistry, and a Master of Philosophy in Inorganic Chemistry ( M.Phil. Chem.) With the dream of becoming a teacher like my mentor, I started my teaching career in 1991 and later added a Bachelor's of Education to my credentials in 1997.
I have been fortunate to teach students of all ages, from 3-year-olds just beginning their learning journey to 22-year-olds preparing for their future careers. Teaching, planning, and guiding them has allowed me to positively influence their lives and support their path to success. I have taught diverse curricula, including Cambridge (IGCSE), CBSE, ICSE, and Basis curriculum, in prestigious institutions across different countries - Moldova (Europe), India, and China and now here in the USA. I have contributed to academia through various roles, including 12 years in administration as a school Principal, though I found the greatest fulfilment in teaching.
Apart from my passion for teaching, I also have a love for travel and have explored over 15 countries across 5 continents. I am fluent in three languages, which allows me to enrich the social awareness of my students by sharing my life experiences and encouraging them to appreciate and learn from different cultures, thus becoming global citizens.
My goal as an educator is to instill confidence and a desire for higher education and employment opportunities in my students, with the aim of becoming global citizens and improving their lives and that of their families and communities.
