Nuestro programa de Español está diseñado para guiar a los estudiantes en su camino hacia convertirse en hablantes bilingües seguros y competentes. A través de una enseñanza dinámica y adecuada para cada edad, los estudiantes desarrollan las habilidades fundamentales que necesitan para comprender, usar y disfrutar una segunda lengua de manera auténtica y significativa.
Los grados K–2 se enfocan en desarrollar vocabulario esencial y expresiones de uso diario que enriquecen su repertorio lingüístico. Los niños aprenden palabras y frases que pueden usar de forma natural en sus interacciones cotidianas, fortaleciendo así su confianza, curiosidad y conexión positiva con el idioma español.
Los grados 3–5 construyen sobre esta base fortaleciendo sus habilidades de comunicación oral y escrita. Los estudiantes aprenden a mantener conversaciones sencillas con hablantes nativos del español, expresar sus ideas con claridad y redactar mensajes cortos pero significativos usando las estructuras del lenguaje que han adquirido. La instrucción enfatiza la comunicación real, la comprensión cultural y el uso del español como herramienta para conectar con otros.
En todos los niveles, nuestra meta es crear un ambiente de aprendizaje dinámico, solidario y culturalmente enriquecedor, donde cada estudiante avance a su propio ritmo y se convierta en un comunicador reflexivo y seguro en dos idiomas.
Our Spanish program is designed to guide scholars on their journey toward becoming confident bilingual speakers. Through engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction, scholars build the foundational skills they need to understand, use, and enjoy a second language in meaningful and authentic ways.
Grades K–2 focus on developing essential vocabulary and everyday expressions that enrich their language repertoire. Scholars learn words and phrases they can use naturally in daily interactions, helping them build confidence, curiosity, and a positive connection to the Spanish language.
Grades 3–5 build upon their foundation by strengthening their written and oral communication skills. Scholars learn how to hold simple conversations with native Spanish speakers, express their ideas clearly, and write short but meaningful messages using the language structures they have acquired. Instruction emphasizes real-world communication, cultural understanding, and the ability to use Spanish to connect with others.
Across all grade levels, our goal is to create a dynamic, supportive, and culturally rich learning environment where every student grows at their own pace and develops into a thoughtful, confident communicator in two languages.
