2. Biography & Education

• "I grew up in Elizabeth City, NC, and graduated from Elizabeth City State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology in 2009. In 2013, I earned my Licensure in Middle Grades English/Language Arts, and in 2022, I completed my Master’s Degree in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University. I have been teaching for 11 years and was honored to be named Enfield Middle STEAM Academy Teacher of the Year in 2022 and 2025."

• "I believe every student can succeed when given encouragement, resources, and high expectations. My classroom is a space where mistakes are part of learning, creativity is encouraged, and respect is at the center of everything we do."

• "When I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading contemporary fiction, writing poetry, traveling, and spending time with family. I’m a big fan of classic literature and enjoy finding creative ways to make it exciting for my students."
