Nora's New to You
Nora's New to You is our original thrift store. Nora's started in 2009 in a small room in back of our current location at 1161 Main Street in Sydney Mines. Nora's was re-located to the downtown area of Sydney Mines for several years before we purchased the original building we started out in and expanded to the entire main floor. Nora's currently employs 1 full time and 6 part time staff, three of which are members of Haley Street. We also have several volunteers from the community who help out.
Online Auction
Our online auction was created to allow us to auction off high value items donated to our thrift store. The auction is run by staff and members of the McNeil Department where they photograph, post items on our facebook auction page, then package and store for pickup at our centre location. Weekly auction items are often brand new high end items including clothing, sports equipment, household appliances and furniture, as well as children's items and more.
