Children who are not hungry or ate at home are offered alternate activities
The class might review classroom rules and schedule and participate in study-related group learning activities.
Students have jobs to develop self-help skills, responsibility and confidence and help build a sense of community and ownership of the classroom
All classes have at least 60 minutes of choice time each morning and additional choice time in the afternoon.
Our classrooms are set up with interest centers, spaces dedicated to certain types of play. While each center targets specific skills, all areas of development are addressed in the activities in each center.
Study-related activities are integrated into the centers, allowing children to explore the concepts through meaningful play
Students choose where they would like to work and play. When they are finished, they are free to move to another area.
