The Employer Dashboard serves to facilitate discussions with students regarding the employers who hire our students and the job titles they offer. It's designed to allow filtering by one or more programs, enabling students to grasp the range of jobs and companies that recruit from their program specifically.
For the best experience, do not use a mobile device to access the dashboard. For more instructions and tips on how to use Tableau, scroll to the bottom.

A note about the dashboard data: All data is self-reported by graduating students. Please forgive any errors, whether grammatical or otherwise. Results are only shown for students who indicated "directly related" or "somewhat related" employment on the Graduate Exit Form (n=2,312 as of summer 2023). Income data is only available from the academic year 2023 for full-time, directly related employment (n=315).
To narrow your search, use the filters at the top of the dashboard to filter by academic year, degree type, major and job title.
To view one or a few categories, deselect "(All)" first, then select the options you want to view.
In the filter dropdowns, when selecting multiple check boxes it may take a moment to update before allowing you to select another category.
To clear a filter, hover over the filter title with your cursor and select the funnel with the red x.
Some data points include a tooltip that provides detailed values or the given numbers in the dataset associated with any graph or visualization. For example, hover over a chart bar to see details.
At the bottom of the dashboard are buttons to undo, redo, reset, and download your current view.
NOTE: How you use the dashboard will not affect the database or other people's view of the dashboard, when in doubt, just refresh the page!
What is the overall response rate since the Graduate Exit Form started in the spring of 2021? From the spring 2021 semester to the summer 2023 semester, 80.8% or 4,308 out of 5,329 graduating students have completed the exit form.
Is all the data in the Employer Dashboard from the exit form? No, Institutional Research also conducts a 6-Month Graduate Survey for Perkins that is included. Data is combined and cleaned so students who answered both surveys are not duplicated.
Why doesn't the income change when I select 2021 or 2022? In 2022 we changed the form's question about annual income from "What was your gross annual income for [Previous Year]?" to "What is your gross annual income for [Current Year]?" Therefore, the income section only reflects data for 2023.
I've noticed some job titles seem unrelated to the major, why are they included? Because students self-select their employment-to-major relation, there may be some inaccuracy in how related a job title is to the program of study. Although there may be some entries we'd consider clearly unrelated, there are many that are not so straightforward. Because of this, we decided to leave all entries intact and rely on the reader to interpret the results.
Have any new questions been added to the Graduate Exit Form? We recently added, "How do you report to work?" With the options of in-person, hybrid, or remote. We also added, "Will you receive any of the following as a result of your diploma/certificate/degree? Check all that apply." With the accompanying options of promotion, pay increase, new job, starting a new business, other. Data regarding these questions will be included in the academic year 2023/24 graduate outcomes report.
What is the Employer Dashboard NOT intended for? This dashboard was designed to facilitate conversations with students, it was not designed to do a comprehensive study on the placement rates or career outcomes of HACC's graduating classes.
