Bonjour Chers Parents!

My name is Mélanie Crouse and I am thrilled as well as honoured to be teaching your child in Grade One French Immersion.

I am originally from Quebec, but have called Jasper my home for the past 23 years. I have two children, Tyler 21 and Kiana almost 17. We love to play outdoors as a family and can often be found hiking, wildflower searching, skiing, traveling or camping. When I am not outside, I can usually be found in my kitchen where I enjoy cooking healthy and delicious food or on my sofa, curled up with a good historical fiction novel!

I grew up in a bilingual home and fully understand the value of learning two languages. I am therefore passionate about teaching in French and truly believe in what I do. I completed my Education Degree at Faculté St-Jean (University of Alberta’s French Faculty) and have so far taught Grade One English and Grades One, Two and Three French Immersion.

I am looking forward to an exciting year filled with learning and laughter. I have high expectations for your child and I know you do too. With your support, I will do all that I can to help your child achieve those expectations. It is my goal to provide all students with an educationally challenging, yet fun experience in my classroom.
