The purpose of the 12th grade program is to encourage the students to take the skills they have learned thus far in RISE and begin exploring how these skills are used in careers, therefore, there are no required courses on campus. Many students take this time to engage in educational opportunities off campus as they prepare for college and careers. Students have several options that allow flexibility in their schedules.
Students may choose from:
A summer internship
An internship during the school year
STEM Capstone Project - Engineering Credit make-up
On Campus Internships:
Tech Team-work with the school tech consultant to repair chromebooks, update websites, maintain computer labs, publish monthly tech newsletter, and manage school technology
STEM Internship in the Fab Lab designing, making and selling products using the 3D printer, laser engraver, CNC machines, apparel, print shop, etc.
