Grading

In accordance with District policy, grades will be weighted as follows:                                                                             

     Test/Projects   = 35%    

     Quizzes            = 25%    

     Homework       = 10%   

     Daily Grades   = 30%                        

• Homework will be given daily.  Homework assignments can be viewed in Google Classroom.

• Daily grades will consist of work completed in class.  This will include but is not limited to independent assignments, group assignments, station carousels, labs,  etc.  

• Students will receive test and quiz grades for each unit. Additional test grades for the nine weeks may come in the form of projects or other major classroom activities.  Students will be tested on the vocabulary lists for each unit as well. This will count as a quiz grade. 

• Make-Up/Missed work will be required to be made up within one week of the absence.  After a week, zeros will be issued for any missing work.

• Note: Minor discipline referrals will NOT start over each nine weeks, rather per semester.  This is a change from last year.

• IDs MUST be worn at all times.  This will be strictly enforced this year.

In accordance with District policy, the grading scale is as follows:

        90 - 100       = A     

        80 - 89         = B        

        70 - 79         =  C      

        60 - 69          = D       

        59 & Below  = F
