Novice -
Are there any local clubs/organizations doing anything CS-related? (Girl/Boy Scouts, 4H, Afterschool programs, local library, Girls Who Code clubs, etc.)
Are teachers aware of social networking opportunities (Twitter, Facebook, mailing list, CSTA Iowa)?
Is CS education included in communications going out to families? (open house, newsletters, conferences)
Are community members used as a CS resource?
Are teachers who are new to our community aware of local business/community partner opportunities?
Emerging -
Are teachers new to our district provided mentorship that includes local business/community partner connections?
Does CS education go beyond the school day and provide enrichment opportunities?
Are families aware of additional extracurricular and partner opportunities for enrichment?
Do local workforce efforts provide opportunities for students to be college and career-ready?
Do collaboration efforts exist between private and public schools and community partners to provide shared experiences for students?
Do posters, flyers, communication reflect the diversified population? (female, low SES, ELL, race, etc.)
Developing -
Does collaboration between community, school, and business partners happen regularly?
Do we regularly plan, offer, and/or advertise CS opportunities beyond the school day?

Quick wins
Check with local organizations - Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, 4H, Afterschool programs - to see if CS is a topic
Partner with AEA to start a Girls Who Code program or similar (FYI... it doesn’t have to be only girls included)
Brainstorm a list of potential business partners, community partners, and/or individuals with CS opportunities
Work with area private/public schools to share resources and opportunities
Reach out to local businesses and community members and seek their involvement
Brainstorm alumni that have careers in CS to partner with
Research national organizations for enrichment opportunities for students and create a way to promote/advertise
