استطاع طلاب الصف السابع لغير الناطقين بها خلال حصة اللغة العربية من تطبيق إستراتيجيات وأنشطة تعليمية فعالة ومختلفة ،حيث قام الطلاب بابتكار تصميمات متعددة لوسائل الإعلام ومنها كيفية تصميم إعلان لبيع وشراء بيت أو فيلا أو شقة مستخدمين المصادر التعليمية المتعددة سواء كانت إلكترونية أو ورقية ،حيث نتجت عن هذه الاستراتيجيات محتوى تعليمي جيد ووصول الطلاب إلى المعلومات وتصميم الإعلانات وتعلمها بمفردهم، فهي كالنافذة التي ينفتح من خلالها الطلاب على كافة ميادين المعرفة وهذا ما نسعى إليه مع طلابنا؛ لأنه يتماشى مع منهج متعلم البكالوريا الدولية
وتماشيًا مع أسبوع القراءة الذي تحرص عليه مدرستنا أكاديمية جيمس العالمية قدّم طلابنا حرصًا واضحًا في تفعيل وتعزيز مهارة القراءة فكان ذلك محاذيًا ضمن مشروع تحدي القراءة العربي واستمتعوا بالقراءة المثمرة من خلال مصادر متعددة منها قراءة قصص ورقية أو قصص إلكترونية مما ساعدت هذه القراءة في تطوير هذه المهارة حيث منحتهم الحق في التعبير عن آمالهم وتفكيرهم من أجل اكتساب المعلومات الجديدة التي تسعى بدورها لخلق الإبداع والابتكار.
During Arabic B class, Grade 7 students, applied effective and varied educational strategies and activities. The students created various media designs, such as designing an advertisement to sell a house, villa, or apartment both on paper and online. These strategies provide excellent educational content, grant students access to information, aid in advertisement design, and facilitate self-directed learning. It is as if a window has opened for the students to all fields of knowledge, and this is precisely what we aim for with our students. This approach is in line with the IB Learner Curriculum and is also aligned with GEMS World Academy's reading week. Our students demonstrated a clear desire to activate and enhance their reading skills, allowing them to express their thoughts and acquire new information. This process fosters creativity and innovation.
Turkish Mother Tongue
In our Turkish mother tongue lessons, we engage in a deep exploration of our cultural heritage and traditions, while also developing essential 21st-century competencies. Our current project centers around the theme of "our Turkey," allowing us to delve into topics that resonate with our individual interests and passions.
To begin, we carefully selected our areas of study, conducting extensive research and reading to deepen our understanding of each topic. Then, armed with copious notes, we set about crafting our individual projects, with a keen focus on proper spelling and grammar.
Our chosen topics cover a broad range of subjects, including the history of Turkish football and basketball, the iconic rivalry between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, and the traditional sports of wrestling and archery. We also explore the natural beauty of our country, as well as the unique and diverse wildlife that can be found within its borders.
Overall, our Turkish mother tongue lessons serve as a rich and meaningful platform for exploring and celebrating our heritage, while also fostering our skills in critical thinking, research, and communication. We eagerly anticipate sharing our "learning my country" projects with one another soon.
