We plan on testing the 75, 72, 81, 78, and 84 tooth sprocket. This will give us a good range for our gear ratio. We researched and found what we think is the best gear ratio for fuel efficiency. We are trying to model our car after Michigan State because they have a great program. Our chain size is 35. All of our sprockets are 14.00$ each, we can order them all from FMS karting. Here is our different gear ratios with the different sprocket sizes:
- 75 tooth: 6.25 gear ratio
- 72 tooth: 6.00 gear ratio
- 81 tooth: 6.75 gear ratio
- 78 tooth: 6.50 gear ratio
- 84 tooth: 7.00 gear ratio
