This guide will walk you through the full process of applying to the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) at Green Valley College Foundation, Inc. Follow each step carefully to ensure your application proceeds smoothly.
1. Download and/or pick up the ETEEAP Application Form from our Admissions/ETEEAP Office at Green Valley College Foundation, Inc. or you can open it in link provided below
2. Prepare your Initial Checklist:
Completed Application Form (signed)
Copy of high school diploma / ALS/PEPT certificate (or proof of qualification to enter college)
Written intent or “Letter of Intent”
Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) or résumé showing your work history
Other supporting documents (see next section)
1. Gather all required documents:
High school diploma or equivalent (ALS A&E / PEPT)
Certificates of employment/work experience: showing your aggregate minimum of five (5) years of work experience in the industry related to the academic degree programme you are applying for.
Training certificates or other documents of formal, non-formal, and informal learning (e.g., TESDA National Certificates/Certificates of Competency) as applicable.
Portfolio of prior learning/experience: this may include work samples, project reports, supervisor testimonials, competence demonstration records.
Updated CV/resume (including functions, duties, responsibilities in each position held).
Other institution-specific documents: [List any – e.g., recommendation letters, 2×2 photo, ID copy, passport (if abroad), etc.]
2. Portfolio Submission Instructions:
Provide [specify number] sets of documents: e.g., 1 original + 2 photocopies (or 1 electronic + 1 hard copy) as may be required by this institution.
Portfolios should be organised in a binder/folder with tabs per section (education, work experience, training, portfolio items) and indexed.
Documents must be certified true copies or originals as required.

Once your portfolio and credentials are accepted, you will proceed to the assessment stage. According to RA 12124, the program shall allow HEIs to develop modes of assessing skills, knowledge and levels of competence (written tests, practical/lab demonstrations, portfolio assessment).
Components of assessment may include:
Portfolio review by a panel of internal/external assessors.
Written examination (where applicable) covering discipline-specific knowledge.
Practical demonstration, lab test or work simulation relevant to your field.
Interview or panel discussion to validate your work experience, competencies, and prior learning.
After assessment, the institution will determine:
The number of equivalency credits awarded for your prior learning, work experience, and training. (“Equivalency” as defined in RA 12124 means assigning academic credits to competence demonstrated).
Any deficiencies requiring competency enrichment, remedial studies, or formal coursework before degree completion.
You will then be issued a Statement of Results indicating your credit transfer / remaining units / next steps.
Once you are accepted under the ETEEAP route and you have been informed of your remaining units to complete, you may enrol in the required classes/modules.
The mode of study may be full-time, part-time, blended, distance learning or workplace-based as provided by the Green Valley College Foundation, Inc. - ETEEAP implementation plan.

Once you complete the remaining coursework and any competency enrichment requirements, you will be eligible for graduation through the ETEEAP route.
Upon successful completion, your institution will award you the appropriate academic degree under the ETEEAP program in line with RA 12124.
If you already hold a bachelor’s degree and seek a second degree via ETEEAP, note that RA 12124 allows this subject to conditions (the prior learning must be related to the second degree sought).
The awarded degree carries the same recognition as a regular degree under the law.
