Students learn the fundamentals of digital arts ranging from how to use a particular software to how to use digital technology to make the software they are learning produce what they envision.
Though the program is based in the use of digital technology, it is still in essence an art class.
In addition to learning how to use software and technology to create art, Digital Arts students also learn:
the elements of art,
the principles of design,
the 12 principles of animation,
and the five components of game design.
Now that the digital art student knows:
how to use and maintain their tech tools;
how to use their software to get the results they want;
and has some idea of the how to apply the elements & principles of their craft to create their vision,
on this level the digital art student will learn more advance software uses and techniques for creating digital artwork.
They will also learn about:
the history of their chosen department (ie history of games or animation)
a variety of digital arts careers.
Students on this level will also have the opportunity to train to earn a software certification.
Please note: ART 101 NOT offered on this level.
This is the advanced level Digital Arts Studio class. This is what the dedicated digital arts student has been working hard to achieve --> time, space, and guidance to create concept art, animations, games, 3D models, etc.

On this level, students:
research & learn about specific industry artist jobs & positions;
meet industry guest speakers;
receive assignments specifically designed to help students build a body of portfolio work;
and have the opportunity to certify in one of the softwares offered in the Digital Arts & Animation program.
