Although points are attached, the goal of this assignment is preparation. Rather than think of this as an added assignment, you should approach this as a summer preparation course, as each task you complete is designed to help you succeed in the Honors English 1-2 classroom right from the start. You will find all the information you need for the assignment on this site, so be sure to explore and familiarize yourself with the included resources and directions.

Overview

Your course preparation assignment consists of three categories:

Material Setup
Vocabulary
Reading

Carefully review and follow the instructions included for each of the categories to complete your summer preparation course. The work completed for this summer assignment will account for 5% of your first-semester grade.

Begin by reviewing the "Material Setup" page to understand the materials you will need at the start of the semester and to successfully organize your notebook.
