The Counseling Team is here to guide students toward their college, career, and life goals. We assist students with exploring careers, creating their academic plan, applying to colleges and scholarship programs, dealing with personal/social issues and more. 

Counselors are available without an appointment before/after school or at lunch. 

The Independence Counseling Team is hosting a FAFSA Night this Wednesday, December 10th from 5:00 - 7:30 pm in the Media Center. Students and parents are encouraged to attend in order to complete the 2026-2027 FAFSA application and get money to help pay for college. Call 623-435-6119 if you have questions. 

Beginning on October 15th, West-MEC will start hosting open houses for each of their campuses and partner campuses. Students and parents are encouraged to attend this interactive, informative experience.
