Our district website is designed to be a place that all students can use as a resource for test preparation for any and all exams given in GUHSD. Here you'll find helpful resources, practice tests, and other important information for students.
ACT (Juniors)
The ACT Test is a college entrance exam that tests students' knowledge of English, math, reading, and scientific reasoning, plus writing through an optional essay. By measuring readiness for college courses in these fundamental areas, the ACT provides a common data point that admissions officers can use to compare applicants. Students should check individual college websites to see if the ACT is a requirement.

PreACT (Sophomores)
PreACT assessments offer students an early experience with ACT test items, provides a predicted ACT test score, and offers a wealth of information to help students get the start they need to be college ready.
ACT Aspire (Freshmen)
ACT Aspire offers a unique, connected approach to measuring student progress. The system is anchored by the ACT test and provides empirically based readiness benchmarks.
Understanding Your ACT Aspire Scores
The Advanced Placement Program® (AP) enables willing and academically prepared students to pursue college-level studies while still in high school. The program consists of college-level courses developed by the AP Program that high schools can choose to offer, and corresponding exams that are administered once a year.

The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test is a standardized test that provides students with practice for the SAT. In addition, scores from the PSAT are used to determine eligibilty and qualification for the National Merit Scholarship Program.
