West-MEC provides high school students a faster way forward through career and technical education (CTE) courses. Students spend part of their day learning their core subjects at school, then take their career training program at a West-MEC or partner campus. All West-MEC programs lead to industry certification, preparing students for the workforce and/or post-secondary education.

Students are introduced to a variety of careers and professional roles within healthcare. This program teaches basic medical science and exposes students to a realistic hospital environment. Students work in community medical facilities, earn health related volunteer credit, and have opportunities for certification.

The ACE (Achieving a College Education) Program is nationally recognized for its proven success in motivating underrepresented students to complete high school and continue on to complete a college degree by helping students make smooth transitions between three facets of the educational pathway: high school, community college, and university. The ACE Program invites high school sophomores to apply for the scholarship and take college classses during their junior and senior years, and earn up to 24 college credits by the time they graduate high school.
