Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley Summer Camps (Ages 5-18)
Thanks to an investment by Governor Doug Ducey and the State of Arizona, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley Summer Camps will be offered AT NO COST to all youth and teens. BGCAZ is part of the AZ OnTrack Summer Camp initiative to help students have fun and stay on track this summer! Breakfast and lunch will be offered at each Club site. Membership and weekly camp fees will be at no cost. Registration for Summer Camp is now open and is on a first-come, first served basis and availability is limited at each Club. ALL GRADES: GEAR UP Lumberjack Leadership Summit (FREE) - DEADLINE TO APPLY APRIL 22nd!!!
Dates: June 5 – 10, 2026
Arizona GEAR UP invites current 9th, 10th, and 11th graders to join us for the 2026 Lumberjack Leadership Summit. Don’t have the cash? No worries, if you go to one of our Arizona GEAR UP Schools, the Summit is free. Whether you choose our in-person option at Northern Arizona University or the virtual option, your experience will include hands-on activities such as an engineering project and coding animation project.
You’ll also brush up on your leadership skills and explore who you are and what’s important to you. And, don’t forget the college experience. You’ll meet actual college students and learn what university life is really like.
This year’s summit will have 2 options for participation.
Option #1:
The in-person summit will take place Sunday, June 5th – Friday, June 10th at Northern Arizona University Mountain Campus in Flagstaff, Arizona. You’ll get to live on-campus in one of the campus resident halls.
Option #2:
If you can’t attend in-person, there is also a virtual option, which will take place Sunday, June 5th – Wednesday, June 8th via ZOOM.
Eligibility Requirements.
Must be attending an Arizona GEAR UP High School (✅ CHS IS A GEAR UP SCHOOL!)
Must be a rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior (priority will be given to rising Sophomores)
Must be able to participate in all Leadership Summit dates.
Must stay on campus at Northern Arizona University (FOR OPTION 1)
Must be willing submit a negative COVID PCR test within 72 hours before the first date of program for OPTION 1 ONLY (June 2nd or later)

ASU Songwriting, Production and Performance Intensive - DEADLINE TO APPLY IS MAY 24th!!!

Join the ASU Popular Music Program for a 3 day songwriting, production and performance intensive open to all levels of experience, instrumentation. Connect and collaborate with other young musicians for an experience that will transform your musicianship and take your skills to the next level. There will be opportunities to work in our state of the art facilities and studios, have your work heard and workshopped, perform each night, and sit in on Masterclasses from visiting industry professionals.
This program is for rising high school freshmen, current high school students, recent high school graduates.
May 31 – June 2: arrival as early as 8 a.m., performances from 5-7 p.m.
Location: Fusion on First, 380 N 1st Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85003
Limited to 75 participants. Followed by an opportunity to audition for acceptance into the program at no cost.

Senior Boot Camp (CLASS OF 2023) $500 for participating - DEADLINE TO APPLY MAY 13
Be A Leader’s Senior Boot Camp (SBC) program provides critical and timely support, encouragement and guidance to seniors as they continue to shape and plan their college going experience. Through a year-long series of workshops, along with consistent guidance, mentoring and support, students are best able to navigate the often-daunting college and scholarship application process. This extensive curriculum ensures that each of the seniors receives personal help and support with the process of applying to gain acceptance into colleges and the financial aid application process. The SBC program begins the summer before students start their senior year and requires that students to work with their designated volunteer SBC Coach and receive individualized support from our Senior Boot Camp Coordinator during the process.

Fleischer Scholars is a high school summer program that provides sophomores and juniors from Arizona high schools a great opportunity to earn college credit, receive a laptop, dive into entrepreneurship, and discover potential career paths.

Mobilize Green Virtual Program - $150 PER WEEK FOR PARTICIPATING
Requirements: Must be 15 by June 1, 2026 and not older than 18 before August 31, 2022 and must be a US citizen.
MobilizeGreen is partnering up with the U.S. Forest Service to offer an exciting virtual internship opportunity. The MobilizeGreen Virtual YCC program is a three-week intensive program where students work and learn together with other crew members from across the country. Led by experienced crew leaders, crew members participate in interactive workshops, learn from experts and professionals in the conservation field and explore topics of interest as they complete conservation-related projects with their peers. The virtual crew member experience is unique and can create memories and friendships that last a lifetime. Program recruitment is targeted to attract youth from diverse backgrounds, including BIPOC, LGBTQ and socio-economically disadvantaged youth from urban and rural communities across the country. Participants receive a weekly stipend of $150 for 15-20 hours of work per week.

Barrett Summer Scholars The Barrett Summer Scholars (BSS) program provides students with the opportunity to experience college firsthand and prepare for enrollment and success at Arizona State University and Barrett, the Honors College. The program is designed for academically talented and motivated students entering the 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th grade. BSS invites students to engage in college-level coursework and participate in a community of peers from across the state.
César E. Chávez Leadership Institute Inspiring and motivating students to participate in the civic, economic and cultural life in their community. The César E. Chávez Leadership Institute seeks to improve access to higher education for Arizona high school students entering their junior and senior year by providing, at no cost to students, a variety of enriching experiences emphasizing leadership development and civic engagement, while advocating for the completion of high school, attending college and educational opportunities at Arizona State University. Since 1995 more than 1,300 students have benefited from participating in the program.
Summer Experience at ASU West - Participants will also attend learning communities taught by ASU faculty in Neuroscience, Psychology & Law/Forensics, STEM/Physics, Cognition & Leadership, Nutrition & Health.

Art Summer Camps The School of Art at ASU offers art camps for students ages 13-18 throughout the summer. These 4-day camps-- which are open to students with all levels of experience-- reflect a wide variety of studio art practices and provide students with an art immersion experience. Each camp gives participants the opportunity to meet others with similar interests and to receive valuable one-on-one feedback from our specialized instructors. FREE CODING BOOTCAMPS - OPEN YEAR ROUND
There are a ton of free online resources to help you learn how to code. Here's a list of some well known companies: Khan Academy, CodeAcademy, and HarvardX's free Intro to Computer Science course on EDx.org. The HarvardX course is most appropriate for high school students and adults. However, if you are younger and motivated to stick with it, you can take the course HarvardX course, too!

Helios Scholars @ TGen - DEADLINE WAS FEBRUARY 4th 2026
Helios Scholars at TGen is a paid, eight-week summer internship program in biomedical research open to incoming and continuing undergraduate, graduate, and medical school students who have studied at an Arizona high school, college, or university. Interns work full-time on a research project under the mentorship of a TGen scientist to unravel the genetic components of diabetes, neurological disease and cancer. At TGen North in Flagstaff, interns focus their summer research on public health and pathogens such as Valley Fever and antibiotic resistant bacteria!

ASU Future Health Leaders (FHL) Camp
FHL Camp is a week-long summer camp for AZ high school students brought in collaboration with AzAHEC regional centers. Students can expect to explore the wide array of health careers through presentations and other virtual, engaging activities. Open to students who are interested in exploring careers in the healthcare field. Students must be currently enrolled high school students in grades 9-12. Students will need a reliable device and consistent internet connection to participate in camp activities. Technology scholarships are available for qualifying students.

Mayo Clinic CARES - DEADLINE WAS FEB 1st
The Mayo Clinic CARES program in Arizona is intended to introduce, prepare, and inspire high school students of various backgrounds and potentials for a career in the health care industry in a summer program with continuing, longitudinal mentorship. The 2021 virtual program took place over four weeks, and the 2019 program took place over five weeks on both Mayo Clinic Arizona campuses for three days per week. The programs included shadowing and presentations by over 70 faculty, clinicians, researchers, educators, and allied health care careers to expose students to a wide variety of programs. U of A Med-Start Health Careers Program - DEADLINE WAS FEB 2nd
This is a summer academic enrichment program for 11th grade Arizona high school students interested in pursuing a career in the health sciences. Students participate in the program during the summer between their junior and senior years.

Eligibility
High school students who have completed their junior year and have a strong interest in the healthcare profession.
All students must be US citizens or permanent residents, and one-year Arizona residents
Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and complete the interview process.
Med-Start welcomes applications from all students. Because they are underrepresented in the healthcare professions, students who are of ethnic minority backgrounds (Hispanic, Native American, African Americans), are first-generation college, and/or are economically disadvantaged, are especially encouraged to apply.

Black, Brown and College Bound
A Virtual Boot Camp for High School Seniors and Community College Transfer Students. Get the tools and tips necessary to enter a four-year college or university at this virtual boot camp. Workshop topics include everything from understanding and navigating the College Admission Process to college life expectations, financial aid and more. The Black, Brown and College Bound workshop is free and open to all, so register today. Students, parents/guardians and educators are welcome to register for this free event!
Alice Cooper's Solid Rock Teen Center - FREE art classes, music lessons and dance classes, individual rehearsal spaces, recording classes, songwriting classes, and discussion groups.
