Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) for students in Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education in public and private schools. FCCLA offers intra-curricular resources and opportunities for students to pursue careers that support families. Since 1945, FCCLA members have been making a difference in their families, careers, and communities by addressing important personal, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education.
To promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community leader, members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a student-let Career & Technical Student Organization (CTSO) that offers members the opportunity to expand their leadership potential and develop life skills. Students learn how to plan, set goals, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal communication. FCCLA membership is required of Early Childhood Education students as a co-curricular program. Students participate in leadership conferences, fundraisers, and competitive events that showcase the skills obtained in the program.
