Marshall Holmes was born on the island of Hawaii and made the passage across the Pacific to the mainland at a young age. Growing up in the small town of Julian, he was inspired by the abundant wild life and natural beauty of the mountains. This inspiration can be seen in his own art work. Marshall studied at Grossmont Community College, then transferred to California State Monterey Bay (B.S) and finally received his Masters in Teaching (M.A.T) from Brandman University. He has been involved in the field of education in many different facets before making the plunge and getting his teaching credential. The opportunity to combine his passion for mentoring/teaching the youth with his love of art cumulates here, at West Hills High School as the 3D Design Art teacher. When Marshall isn’t teaching or creating, he can be found playing board games, hiking with his two dogs and family or riding his bike.
