This course is an AP course, which means that if you pass a big test in May, you will get college credit (and more of a chance) for college. Don't stress though, I treat the course more like a practice AP course, since it's your first one. If you don't pass, nothing happens and it won't affect your grade. Everyone will take practice quizzes through this site, though. So we need to both create a College Board Account register for our class (don't worry, we are not registering for the test until November!).
#1- Create and Account in this link here. Make sure you pick password that you will remember!!! Write it down!
#2 - Join our APHG class with this code:
Period 5= GMVKQ4
Period 6= EN7N7V

For Everyone- AP Test Info:
1. For students taking the AP test, please make sure you continue to access all of the study links in our APHG folder. It's really important to review independently for this test because of the quarter system. For period 6 students, the course is archived in Schoology but it is still accessible under "archived courses" (period 5 students will be archived in a couple weeks.) In the black folder at the top of the course for "General Information" is our document called " Everything You Need To Know About The AP Test", which includes a link to three major sources that will prepare you for the test:
Youtube videos on every unit in the chapter.
Review Tests that I have activated on the College Board AP Classroom site for every unit. Take these and go over missed responses.
Daily (short!) videos to watch on your College Board AP Classroom site.
2. From the College Board- 2021 Key Change
In addition to traditional paper and pencil AP Exams, full-length digital AP Exams will be available to take either in paper or on digitally on Chromebooks from either home or school.
Digital exams will be taken on computers (Mac, Windows, school-managed Chromebooks), and may not be taken on smartphones. Each student will need their own computer to complete the readiness steps and take their exam.
All digital exams will have various security features in effect, whether taken in school or at home. For example, students taking digital exams won't be able to return to answered questions or move back and forth among unanswered questions.
The new schedule provides three testing dates for each subject between early May and mid-June.
Administration 1- May 4, 12 pm: Exams are paper and pencil, administered in school.
Administration 2- May 28, 8 am: Digital, administered in school or taken at home.
Administration 3- Jun 8, 8 am: Digital only, administered in school or taken at home.
After reading the above, please take this survey (don't worry, you are not signing up for one or the other here- it's just an interest form for our own planning purposes).
