Welcome to the music program at Growing up Green!
Students at Growing Up Green explore many different music genres like Swing, Armenian Folk Music, Iraqi Folk Music, Cumbia, Hip Hop and more! Students have the opportunity to attend a performance at Carnegie Hall and even perform alongside Carnegie Hall musicians! We also have an elite choral ensemble, Green Voices, for 4th and 5th grade musicians.

Music is a powerful way to bring unity to a community. Studies have shown that music can reduce stress, help bring happiness, and health to each person. We strive to provide our students with an outlet that will shape and cultivate their life.

Green Voices
Green Voices is our elite choral ensemble for 4th and 5th grade students. Auditions are required in order to participate. Students rehearse weekly to prepare for school concerts and community events throughout the school year!

Musical Explorers is designed to connect children in grades K–2 to rich and diverse musical communities as they build fundamental music skills through listening, singing, and moving to songs from all over the world.

The Link Up program introduces students in grades 3-5 to the orchestra by helping them to become a part of it! Students all over the country and around the world come together with their local orchestras to learn about, listen to, and perform great music!
