The Guerin Catholic Golden Gears Robotics Team is dedicated to fostering innovation, collaboration, and a passion for STEM while embracing the values of our Catholic faith. Through teamwork, leadership, and gracious professionalism, we seek to equip students with the technical and communication skills necessary to address real-world challenges. By participating in the FIRST Robotics Competition, we strive to develop individuals who will use their God-given talents to make a meaningful impact on their communities and the world, guided by faith and service to others.
The Guerin Catholic Golden Gears envisions creating a dynamic and collaborative team environment where students develop exceptional technical skills, interpersonal abilities, innovation, and a passion for excellence. Committed to being the best-performing team we can be, we strive to cultivate these talents through engaging robotics competitions, impactful community outreach initiatives, and meaningful local partnerships. By fostering growth, teamwork, and innovation, we aim to inspire students to become leaders who make a positive difference in their communities and beyond.
Our goal pyramid is a complete summary of our goals for every season. These goals build off of each other. Starting from the base, which are the foundational goals, and working their way up the pyramid to our ultimate goal of making it to the FIRST Championship.
The Golden Gears (FRC Team 10021) was founded in 2025 by our head coach Mr. Cromer in order to establish a dedicated robotics program at Guerin Catholic. In our rookie season, we operated out of a small storage space before transitioning this year into a fully equipped classroom and shop. Despite our modest beginnings, we achieved notable success, earning the Rookie All-Star Award at the Indiana State Championship and securing an invitation to the FRC World Championship in Houston, Texas. Moving into a larger workspace marks an important milestone in our development as we continue to expand our capabilities and pursue excellence in engineering, teamwork, and innovation.
