Ideas on using Video in the Classroom

• Storyboarding using the Trailer feature in iMovie - use of different camera angles, summarise a story as a trailer, story telling.
• Reading Assessment - record a student reading in Clips, ensure the voice recognition is on, check the video back to see if they have read the text correctly.
• Using titles to create an advert.
• Create your own voice over for a movie.
• Create video versions of famous stories.
• Record how a maths problem can be solved.
• Record reflections
• Historical facts with split screen. Eg: What was Anne Frank like as a teenager compared to what teenagers are like today, the right way to bowl a ball against the wrong way. Comparisons between right and wrong.
• Slow motion recording in science and PE.
• Time lapse recording in science (check out the video below of an example of this.)
