CLINICAL HOURS MISSED:

Clinical Courses 104/304, 107/307 and 108/308

• 84 hours total clinical time in a semester

  • 30 mins-7 hours clinical absence results in one clinical makeup experience and 10% reduction of the clinical evaluation rubric.

  • 7.5 hours -14 hours results in two clinical makeup experiences and 15% reduction of the clinical evaluation rubric.

  • Greater than 14 hours results in course failure.

Clinical Courses 111 and 115

• 126 hours total clinical time in a semester

  • 30 mins-7 hours clinical absence results in one clinical makeup experience and 5% reduction of current clinical evaluation rubric.

  • 7.5-14 hours clinical absence results in two clinical makeup experiences and 10% reduction of current clinical evaluation rubric.

  • 14.5-21 hours clinical absence results in three clinical make-up experiences and 15% reduction of current clinical evaluation rubric.

  • Greater than 21 hours results in course failure.

• Students are encouraged to reach out to HTLC if clinical makeup dates and/or times conflict with course schedules.

• As a student, it is your responsibility to be aware of the above Clinical Absence Policy and its guidelines.

• If you attend a makeup session, you are required to attend the entire duration of the makeup event. 

• Clinical makeup sessions are limited to 4 students per sessions - slots are filled in the order the requests on the form are received. Once a date has been filled, it will be removed from the form.
