Stephanie graduated from Illinois State University with her BSN in 2016. She was a CNA in mental health then an RN in the Emergency Department. Stephanie has alway had a passion for Emergency Medicine and Trauma. She worked in a Level One trauma center in South Carolina for several years. She came to Gateway in August of 2021 after discovering a love for education by precepting new grad nurses. When Stephanie isn’t working she enjoys spending time by hanging outside with friends, family, and her two dogs Sadie and Sammie.

HTLC Lab Assistant - Racine Campus
Crystal graduated from UW- Parkside with her BSN through UW-Milwaukee in 2015. She received her CNA certification through the program Gateway offered while students were in high school. Crystal started her nursing career at St. Catherine’s Hospital on the 60 bed Medical Surgical floor, which is where she was until she joined Gateway. She joined Gateway in September of 2021 when she joined the HTLC team. Crystal currently resides in Kansasville and has been married to her highschool sweetheart and they have 2 sons together. Outside of work, Crystal loves to spend time with her family camping, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and anything that involves being outdoors.

HTLC Lab Assistant - Racine Campus
Christina has been a nurse since December 2000. She started out in Pediatrics and moved her way through the ages over the years. She attended Western Wisconsin Technical College in La Crosse for her ADN and completed her BSN from Western Governors University. Christina started at Gateway in January 2021 as a casual staff member. She liked it so much she was able to achieve a full time position beginning August 2021. Christina has been married for over 20 years and has 3 beautiful children. She loves to go to the beach and is an avid reader.

HTLC Specialist - Kenosha Campus
Emily graduated with her BSN from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2018. She received her MSN-Ed from Grand Canyon University in 2022. Emily then returned to GCU one final time to receive a graduate certificate in Health Psychology, which she completed in 2023. Emily’s main background in nursing is Obstetrics. She has experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Special Care Nursery, and Surgical, specifically Women’s Health. Emily first started her Gateway journey when taking the high school CNA class in 2014. She then became a casual staff member in the skills and simulation labs in January 2020. Once she discovered her true passion for working with nursing students, she began working at Gateway’s Inspire Center in Kenosha full-time in August 2020. Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with her fiancé and their two orange tabby cats named Nala and Chowder.

Katrina graduated from Gateway’s nursing program in May of 2000 then went on to pursue her BSN from Liberty University and her MSN in Informatics from Grand Canyon University in 2017. Her work experience includes Labor and Delivery, postpartum & nursery. She came back to work at Gateway in in the Nursing labs in 2006. She currently works on the Kenosha campus in the Inspire Center and loves seeing students grow and excel in their passion for nursing. She loves spending time with her husband, and their two daughters.

Lauren Weis graduated from University of Milwaukee with her BSN in 2015 and went on to obtain her MSN from Grand Canyon University. She’s worked on various floors at the hospital from med-surg to pediatrics to ICU to postpartum and special care nursery, with her passion being in special care nursery. She came to Gateway in 2019 when she joined the HTLC team. Lauren normally works Monday-Wednesday at the Elkhorn Campus. She is also an adjunct instructor for Gateway. She has been married to her high school sweetheart and they have two little girls together. Lauren loves spending time with her family and being outdoors.
