You might all love pork, and if you don't then that's okay. If you do, then please choose where you buy your meat from carefully. Organic farms or small Family Farms are good choices to get your meat from. You might think that an industrial farm is like an Organic farm but it is totally the opposite. An industrial farm is like a Factory farm. So if you ever see pork at a store and on the package it says "From an Industrial Farm" please don't buy it. Think about how the pigs got treated and if they had a good life. I hope you like my website!
Organic farms are sometimes bad if you can believe it. Some Organic farms give the pigs little space to roam and keep their cage in one spot for a long time. That is bad because Pigs like to be clean and when their cage is in one spot for too long then the larvae in their poop starts rotting. When that happens then the whole place starts stinking up.
In Factory farms the pigs there basically have no space, but pigs on Organic farms have a lot of space to roam and run. In some Factory farms the pigs there get fed leftover pork. That is very bad and the pigs in factory farms get sick more often. On Organic farms the pigs there get to be outside all the time. In Factory farms some of the pigs there do not ever see the sun in their life.
In Factory Farms the pigs get treated really badly. Some pigs even get cut with a sharp blade for no reason. Why do the people do that, you ask? Because they don't care. Because they want to sell their meat and guess what they get for it? Money. They only want the money. They don't care how they treat the animals or if it is legal or not.
Sometimes you might think that pork is the best food in the world but sometimes it isn't. If you eat too much pork you can get Diabetes, Heart disease, cancer or you can even die. It is okay if you eat pork once in a while. If you eat pork have it with some greens or something that is healthy. Just be careful how often you eat pork and where you are getting it.
You might not want to eat pigs as cute and cuddly as this one. Right? Well, some people just don't care. In factory farms, the farmers there take the 1 week old piglets away from their mamas. Do you know why they do that? Because we want pork. That's literally the only reason.
You might think that it's okay to kill and eat an animal that is as ugly and stinky such as a pig. But sometimes it isn't. The animal that you were just eating was once alive and living. Every living thing has the right to live. But some people don't understand that. Be the person who understands.
Here is a video of my diorama. I hope you like it!

Here is my essay about pigs. I hope you like it!
Top left: Pigs squished in small cages. Underneath them is their poop and pee that they are lying on. As you can see they are not happy and they want to be clean.
Bottom left: Five female pigs all squished together in four small cages. One male pig is going around in one big cage in-between the four cages. He will pick his "wife" and then soon after he will be slaughtered.
Big picture: Little black Runt*. This Baby Pig is Happy and on a good Organic Farm.
*a Runt is the smallest baby pig in a litter. Some Runts are 20 inch long!
