Classroom Rules

" Goodness is about character - integrity, honesty, kindness, generosity, and moral courage. More than anything else, it is about how we treat other people."

Inside and outside of the classroom kindness and respect are character traits that are not only encouraged, but a requirement for all students. This requirement is to ensure a safe and positive classroom environment, while also promoting the general well- being of each student within the class. By following these rules, it will allow for a classroom best suited for learning.

Below are the classroom rules that were motivated and focused around these character traits.

In the classroom you are required to:

Follow the three "R"s:

- Respect yourself.

- Respect others.

- Respect the school environment.

- Follow the Cougars motto.

- Speak French in class, except during English Language Arts.

- Bring everything with you to class on time, including materials and homework.

- Clean up after yourself.

  • - Always try your best.

  • - Demonstrate empathy and kindness.

*In the classroom, French speaking is an absolute requirement in all subjects with the exception of Language Arts. French speaking will be required once the students have entered the class (including lunchtime). This rule will be strictly enforced. This will allow for students not only to be fully immersed within the program, but to also allow for academic improvement.
