Stop by the College & Career Center to pick up a free PSAT Test Prep booklet.

Arizona College Preparatory Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors take the PSAT/NMSQT at ACP HS during school hours in October. (please see the July Knightly Update for the test date and test fees)


  • Freshmen: The PSAT is just a practice!

    • Link your results to Khan Academy through your College Board Account.

      • Khan Academy personalizes your practice and provides you with practice tests and planning for future tests.

Also realize that the information you were tested on might be a subject that you haven't covered in high school quite yet.

  • Sophomores: Practice number 2!

    • Go back to Khan Academy and link your results.

      • Use the mini sections to help you get used to the timing of the test.

    • If you indicate that you identify as African American or Black, Hispanic American or Latinx, or Indigenous you might qualify for one of College Board's National Recognition Programs. Please go to this link for additional information.

  • Juniors: This is a good year to consider "opting in" to the Student Search Service when you register for the test. Please review how your information is shared by going to this link.

    • This year's PSAT/NMSQT results are an indicator of how you will score on the SAT. Review your results!

    • If you indicate that you identify as African American or Black, Hispanic American or Latinx, or Indigenous you might qualify for one of College Board's National Recognition Programs. Please go to this link for additional information.

    • Your scores could qualify you be eligible for the National Merit Scholarship Program.

    • You are entered to participate in the BigFuture Scholarship. Follow the 6 steps to earn entries in the monthly drawings,

ACT Link

Stop by the College & Career Center to pick up a free ACT Test Prep booklet.

Arizona College Preparatory Juniors take the ACT at ACP HS during school hours in March. The State of Arizona uses the ACT as the high school achievement test. The test free for all Juniors.


  • Freshmen: ACT Aspire

    • 2022 testing, Wednesday, April 6 and Thursday, April 7 during English Classes.


  • Sophomores: No Testing


  • Juniors:

    • Arizona College Preparatory Juniors take the ACT at ACP HS during school hours in March. The State of Arizona uses the ACT as the high school achievement test. The test free for all Juniors.

    • Superscoring: average for your four best subject scores from al of your ACT tests.


Students can take or retake the ACT at a testing site, usually held on Saturdays. For test dates and locations go to the link contained in the Links list to the left.

Test Optional

Class of 2023, colleges and universities have moved to test optional for admission purposes.

Please review the merit-based scholarship policies for each college or university to be sure that a test isn't needed.

CLT = Classic Learning Test

The Classic Learning Test is a college entrance exam that students can access at home. The test is recognized by more than 190 colleges and universities.
