Gavin Schrock, PLS is a practicing land surveyor and geospatial technology writer. He has worked in surveying, mapping, spatial data management, GNSS, and GIS for more than three decades in the civil, utility, defense, and mapping disciplines. He has published in these fields and has taught these subjects at local, state, national, and international conferences.

Gavin has had over 500 features, articles, case studies, product reviews, and corporate profiles published in geospatial industry and professional association publications: under his own byline or pen names (per client request), and works under NDAs as needed. He has also  authored and co-authored white papers published in technical journals.

He has served the editor or consulting editor for six geospatial industry magazines.
