Introduction

We have been continuously working in the direction towards creating awareness about the hazards of using TABACCO amongst the students and teachers fraternity. As we all know that tobacco is the biggest enemy of public health today. The effects of tobacco consumption, as we all know, are destructive and widespread. Not many know that tobacco is one of the primary causes of cancer and heart attacks. Many youngsters, in both cities and rural areas, are getting addicted to tobacco use in various forms, which, in the long run, can have an adverse effect on health. It a project on which the children of our school have participated by making posters, videos, writing articles and speech on the same topic.

Definition of tobacco

Tobacco is the ordinary name of various plants in the cultivated tobacco of the family solanaceae and the extensive term for any product prepared from the leaves of this plants. In addition 70 variety of tobacco are well known, but the chief cash crop is N. tabacum. The more powerful alternative N. rustica is also used in few countries.
