Trash Clean Up

Trash pickup is an important subject because it will help keep the Earth safe and clean for everyone. One time, I was walking out in the forest, and out of nowhere, the ground got all crunchy! I soon realized I was walking on garbage, but the ground grew over it all. That's only one of the many reasons we should pick up trash.

What Can Trash Do to Earth?

Trash can travel through rivers and oceans. It gets on beaches and pollutes gyres. This causes harm to physical habitats and threatens aquatic life. Trash can transport chemicals that pollute natural spaces, and that can interfere with how we use river, marine, and coastal environments.

What Can We Do to Help?

Everyone can help with trash cleanup! You can go around your community, like to a park or the side of the road, and you'll see trash laying around. Pick it up to make a difference! If you can recycle it, I would. But, make sure it is recyclable. Don't recycle trash that doesn't go in those bins! If you decide to pick up trash, it's a good idea to wear gloves or use one of those trash grabbers (like in the video). You can get a group of friends to help you as well. Whether big or small, all deeds help!
