Checklist for G Suite for Education adoption
- Domain name to use
This can be an existing domain name not used before for G Suite. If the domain is currently running G Suite for Education, the adoption will focus more on the administration of the domain’s G Suite implementation. If the domain is currently not under the Free Education tier of G Suite, help will be rendered to facilitate the upgrading of the domain to G Suite for Education.
- Hosting details if using existing/owned domain
If the domain to be used is an existing one, the details for the hosting provider would be needed. There will be DNS records that need to be added for domain verification and also mail routing. If access to the DNS records is unavailable, a request flow should be in place for the institution to request for DNS records to be added in by the Hosting provider
- Contact details
The contact details stated here would be the point of contact for the institution. This designated contact would preferably be a person with some technical knowledge with access to or in contact with, hosting provider’s DNS records for the institution’s proposed domain for this adoption.
