The Council and Academic Division of the University of Peradeniya serves as the administrative hub for the institution's highest decision-making bodies:

1.  University Council, which oversees administrative functions

The division supports the operations of various Senate subcommittees, including the 

1. Academic Development and Planning Committee (ADPC)

2. Senate Research Committee (SRC) 

3. English Language Teaching Committee (ELTC)

4. Senate Publications Committee (SPC)

5. Senate Library Committee (SLC)

Additionally, the division manages the administration of University Research Grants and Postgraduate Research Fellowships, ensuring the seamless facilitation of academic and research endeavours across the university.
