Design of Fuel Sprayer

A high performance and clean turbofan engine deeply depends on a large degree of the optimal control of fuel supply, atomization and fuel-air mixing in the combustion chamber. In this research project, a series of self-designed swirl-air aviation fuel nozzles will be numerically evaluated. They will also be manufactured and fabricated. The spray characteristics of prototype of fuel nozzle in terms of the spray pattern and performance of the injectors for liquid fuel will be measured using laser diagnostics. Briefly, the fundamental results from this research topic will provide essential background and database for designing advanced turbofan engine in Taiwan for domestic or military application.

Development of Solenoid Valve for HTP
