The progress report is a monitoring tool that helps you to reflect on your progress, and helps your advisor and thesis proposal committee to evaluate the work you have done and the direction you have taken with your research.
Each student is required to write a thesis Progress Reports, and to report on scheduled date. The Master’s Thesis Progress Reports Presentation is open to public. Presenter’s advisors, all graduate students and interested faculty are encouraged to attend.
Timing
1. Following the completion, the student must report twice progress (PR1&2) in the 1st (PR1) and 2nd (PR2) semesters of the second year.
2. At least 2 progress reports are required before the Degree examination.
3. PR1-Presentation Month: Around Nov. in the 1st semester
4. PR2- Presentation Month: Around April in the 2nd semester
5. Students who want to apply for PRs ahead of the expected timing should be approved by the Institute meeting.
Process
1. PR1- Students have to fill in application form online in the in the second week of Sep.
2. PR2- Students have to submit application form in the first week of March.
3. The completed proposal e-file (PDF.) must be submitted to the ICM office at least 1 month prior to the presentation.
