Dr Lai grew up in Taiwan and obtained her BSc degree in Chemical Engineering at NCKU Taiwan in 2007 and an MSc degree from NTU Taiwan in 2009. She joined the Reisner group in Cambridge in 2011 to pursue her PhD studies and obtained her PhD degree in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge in 2015. Dr Lai was an assistant professor at the Department of Materials and Optoelectronic Science, NSYSU, Taiwan, from 2016 to 2019. She was appointed as an assistant professor in Aug 2019 and is currently an associate professor of Materials Science and Engineering at NCKU Taiwan. Dr Lai’s research interests include artificial photosynthesis and photo(electro)chemical organic waste valorization.
