Setting up your Gateway Account
1. Activate your new merchant account
You should have received an email with the subject line “Groupon Goods Gateway - Invitation to Join”. This email contains a link to activate your new merchant account. This link expires after 24 hours. If for some reason you did not receive, or need it resent, please contact your buyer or reach out to Merchant Support at pmgoods-na@groupon.com.
2. Enter banking details under “Payments”
From the “Profile” page in Gateway, navigate to the Payments tab. Merchants must input valid, US-based banking information. These banking details should also correspond with the Legal Business Name listed on your account. Please also make sure your "Accounts Receivable Email" is listed properly; all payment and invoice reports will be sent to this email address.
If you are experiencing an error when attempting to save your payment info, see our support article Can't Save Payment Info
3. Set up or link an Avalara AvaTax account under "Taxes"
From the “Profile” page in Gateway, navigate to the Taxes tab. From here, scroll to the bottom of the page and read through the Avalara terms and conditions. You may then check the box and click submit. You will then receive an email from Avalara with password instructions for your new Avalara account. This AvaTax account is offered free-of-charge, and must be created in order to activate your Gateway account. If you have an existing AvaTax account, you will want to link your account instead, by clicking "Link my Avalara Tax account to Gateway." From here you will be directed to submit your Account ID, License Key, and Company Code.

Finally, from the “Profile” page in Gateway, navigate to the Terms & Agreement tab. Open up the Merchant Agreement. To complete our Terms & Agreement, merchants must click both check-boxes AND the provided link to read through the Groupon Goods Marketplace Merchant Agreement.

Setting up your Commerce Interface Account
1. Log in with the same credential used for your Gateway account
When the primary user is created in Gateway, an account is automatically created for them in CI with the default Permission Level of 1.
If additional users are created under the account in Gateway, their CI accounts will also have the default Permission Level of 1.
2. Select your Notification Preferences
You have access to manage user email notification alerts for CI directly within the portal. To begin, select "Account Settings > Preferences" on the left hand navigation panel.
Scroll down to the "Personal Preferences" header. Here you will find the option to select or deselect certain types of email notifications coming to your inbox. For example, if you'd like to opt out of order related emails, uncheck the first box and click save.
