Meet the Staff

Hello, my name is Ms. Kat. I am super excited to start working at Griswold Public Schools with Wolverines Forward! I have worked with children of all ages, as a behavioral technician in ABA and as a residential counselor, for several years. I love to hike, spend time with friends and family, and travel. 

Hello! I am Ms. Anne this is my first year with Wolverines Forward. Before this I drove a school bus for over 35 years and was a teachers aide too! I enjoy spending time with my children and husband, going on motorcycle rides, and sitting by the campfire!

Hi everyone! My name is Gianna, and I’m so excited to be joining the after-school team! A little about me—I recently graduated from esthetics school, and I love spending time with my family and friends, going to the beach, being outdoors, and trying new things. I’m excited to get to know everyone, have lots of fun, and make some great memories!!! 

Hi, I am Nina. This is my first year working at GPS. I am excited to meet and work with each student.  Outside of work, I like to spend time with my family and going to the beach.

Hi! My name is Ms. Adrian and I went to Griswold Schools for 12 years! I have been working with children for a little over 4 years, but this is my first year with Wolverines Forward. I am super excited for this opportunity!

Hi, I am Mr. Rourke. I have been working at GES for 5 years. This is my second year with Wolverines and I am very excited to be a part of this team!

Hello! I am Ms. Burkart, I am a proud Griswold High School alumna and passionate Music Educator. I have a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from ECSU and Master's degree in Music Education. In addition to teaching, I am a Voice Coach and I also work at Niantic Bay Playhouse. I am excited to bring my passion for teaching, creativity, and student growth to the Wolverine Forward Program! 

Hello, I am Ms. Jen. I have been a Para at GES for 17 years. I have a son and daughter plus to cats, Milo and Willy. I believe every child is unique and deserves a caring and engaging environment to learn. I am looking forward to working in the after school program and hope to have lots of fun this year!

Hi! My name is Tonny Dominguez! I am a first-generation Dominican American born and raised in New London, Connecticut. I love sports, history, and spending time with my family. My passion always been working with kids as I want to do something with life that I feel gives it meaning. 

Hi! My name is Krystalle I have been with GPS since winter of 2023 as a paraprofessional at Griswold High School. I have two kids who attend GPS. Fun fact about me is I have lived in four different states and have 13 chickens! I'm so excited to be a part of the team and I look forward to working with your children!  

Hi, I am Ms. Marina! This is my second year working in Wolverines. I am currently in college, majoring in Early childhood education. I love working with children and am very excited about this school year! 

Hello! My name is Luci Cruz, the kids call me Miss Luci. I have been apart of the Griswold School Family for over 7 years as a Special Education Para. This is my third year working the Wolverine Forward program and I am lucky to be apart of such a wonderful group of staff and students. 

Hi, I am Aubrey. Im passionate about working with kids. I’ve been coaching tiny and mini competitive cheer teams for 4 years now and am excited to start with Wolverines Forward!

Hello! I’m Mrs.Serena and I have gone to Griswold Public Schools my whole life, K-12 and it has been amazing. I am excited that I am back and can lead the younger generations. I am very passionate about education especially in early childhood! Some fun facts about me are that I love to walk on the beach and I love to bake! 

Hello! I am Ms. Briana. I attended Griswold schools from elementary through high school and am looking forward to working with kids i my community. I am excited to join the Wolverines Forward team. 

I am Ms. Nevin. This is my third year working for GPS, however I graduated from Griswold in 2023. I have been working with children for the past 3 years and I absolutely love it. Outside of work I am currently in college and a cheer coach for the senior Griswold youth cheer team.

Hi! I am Ms. Peyton and I’m a 1st grade instructor. This will be my third year doing Wolverine Forward and I absolutely love being involved in this program! I go to Eastern Connecticut State University and want to be an elementary school teacher. I went to Griswold  for 12 years before graduating in 2021. I love giving back to the community by being a good role model! In my free time I enjoy hiking, reading and listening to music. 

I am Ms. Angela.  This is my 4th year at Wolverines Forward.  I have worked in Special Education for 16 years and have worked as an Instructor in a previous afterschool program for 5 years. I am married and have two sons. I enjoy gardening, boating and traveling with my family.
