Listen

Only Artists from BBC Radio 4 brings two artists together to talk about their creative work. The agenda is theirs, the conversation is free-flowing, and there is no presenter.

From breaking news and insider insights to exhibitions and events around the world, the team at The Art Newspaper picks apart the art world’s big stories with the help of special guests. Sponsored by Christie’s.

Actor Russell Tovey and gallerist Robert Diament host Talk Art, a podcast dedicated to the world of art featuring exclusive interviews with leading artists, curators & gallerists, and even occasionally their talented friends from other industries like acting, music and journalism.

This series goes a step beyond what you typically learn in art history to get to the juicy bits. Many of the names are familiar – Leonardo, Caravaggio, Van Gogh – but she's exploring their stories through interesting themes.

Originally found in 1902, Artnews is the oldest art magazine in the world with a storied history that includes such former contributors as MoMA founder Alfred Barr, Aldous Huxley, Jean-Paul Sartre and William Carlos Williams. Though it still published in printed form quarterly, Artnews has shifted much its content online, continuing its legacy as a trusted source of art criticism and news in the digital age.

The Art Newspaper is a monthly print publication, with daily updates online, founded in 1990 and based in London and New York City. It covers news of the visual arts as they are affected by international politics and economics, developments in law, tax, the art market, the environment and official cultural policy.

Although not a technique book in the strict sense of the terms, The Practice and Science of Drawing brings to the beginner a clear statement of the principles that they will have to develop and their importance in creating a work of art.

It talks about the history of art in various countries and kingdoms.
