This Week's Task: Select 5 poetry forms to define and then create your own example of each type of poem to put in your poetry anthology at the end of the term.

WALT: Select precise vocabulary to suit our writing purpose.
Success Criteria:
- Select a form of poetry and define it.
- Jot down some ideas for topics
- Write details that you want to include in your poem. Don't censor your ideas. The list may be a collection of words or phrases.
- Write lines and verses for your poem.
- Change the order of the items to create the best meaning.
- Read it aloud then show it to someone to get some feedback.
- Revise your poem - Think do my details match my title and make sense? Have I followed the poem structure/form?

This Week's Task: Write a sestina poem describing a specific journey. It could be a real or fake story, long or short, a special time or a trip you make every day or week.
WALT: Select precise vocabulary to suit our writing purpose.
Success Criteria:
- Write 6 lines, each line having only 6 words.
- Something you saw
- Something you remember
- A person who was with you on the trip
- A wonderful imagined thing that didn’t really happen (even if this is based on a real trip you’ve done!)
- The reason for your journey.
- Your own six word sentence to finish your poem
- Used precise nouns and verbs to describe

This Week's Task: Write a list poem on a subject of your choice. You may like to write a list poem to tell us more about yourself such as things you like, or maybe an escuses poem like the one above.
WALT: Thoughtfully select details to meet my purpose.
Success Criteria:

This Week's Task: Write a parody of William Carlos Williams poem "This is Just to say..." by choosing a time when you were naughty
WALT: Create texts by carefully choosing precise vocabulary
Success Criteria:
- Choose my topic
- Think - What did you do?
- Who got grumpy at you for that naughty thing, and why?
- What was your reason/excuse for doing that naughty thing?
- Organise your ideas to follow the structure of the original poem
- Select precise nouns, verbs and adjectives to enhance your idease
