Key Ideas to reflect on:
Is there something that has happened in your past that hurt your feelings?
Do you think it is better to tell someone that they are hurting your feelings or stay quiet like Elyse did for so many months? Why / Why not?
This Weeks Tasks:
1. Complete the Sticks and Stones Inference Activity 7.
Analyse: Complete a character change chart on one of the main characters from the story. Think about the change in your characters traits, actions and feelings during the book.
Summarise: Write a summary of the novel that will inspire others to read it. (About half a page). Don’t give away too much
Reflect: What did you learn from Elyse? How can you take her story to change the way you interact with others? Think about the way you talk to or talk about others? What about the way you talk to yourself?

Leaders need to think about the way they talk to others. Sometimes we may say things as a joke or not meaning to hurt someone else, but the way we say it can be very hurtful.
Write about a time when you behaved in this way. How did it make you feel, the other person feel?
