Year 10

In the year 10 Mandarin course, we will go more in depth with our exploration of the Chinese language. We will learn about the basics of writing Chinese characters and learn to write over 100 simplified Chinese Characters. We will practice talking about time/dates, giving simple directions. Food culture (using chopsticks, how to behave at the table, what to do and what not to do) will also be covered resulting in a field trip to a Chinese Restaurant and a class where students will cook a Chinese style dish.

Useful equipment to have will be 1B5 book and a pair of headphones.
