Students undertake research and gather information that broadens their understanding of the inquiry focus. They use a variety of sources i.e. internet, library, interviews, surveys etc. and are thorough and constantly evaluate their research to ensure it is relevant and useful to their inquiry. Based on the research and inquiry, the students provide a detailed description of the digital outcome stating the impact, scope and intended community value including a description of the possible risks and challenges involved with the project and how these impact their inquiry.
Some key questions that might help you start your inquiry:( Use the SDG Goals)
What is one of the issues in our community and what can we do about it?
How does it impact me and/or the community?
Who does it involve? What does it look like? Where is it? What causes it?
Why does it happen? How does it happen? What is being/or has already been done?
What could I do? How can I link this to a digital outcome?
Analyse and organise your information and relevant perspectives (members, stakeholders, media etc.) and how these may or do impact on the focus of your inquiry.
Learning Objectives: Students will identify their stakeholders and design their digital outcome to have a positive outcome based on the user experience. Success Criteria: I can identify who my stakeholders are going to be and how I can get my message to them.I can identify and design my Google Survey to capture the user stories of my stakeholders I can identify the platform and programming language which will have the most impact for my game or project.
Provide a description of the possible risks and challenges involved with the outcome you are proposing by analysing and evaluating these and the impact they will have on your inquiry.
Please use Agile scrum to manage your product design process. This usually means that you have to decide on the tasks for the week and prioritise your most important step. Please use the resources below to get familiar with the sprint backlog and the process of moving the tasks cards or user stories across the board. We will be using Airtable to do this in your scrums.
Write a brief outline of the digital technologies outcome you propose to develop. This can be partially developed or a completed outcome. Please include the scope ( what is the timeline) of the project including the stakeholders and users you are developing this outcome for. Include the Sustainable Development Goal you are using.
Learning Objective: Describe and write the scope of your project including the stakeholders, users and milestones on a presentation
Success criteria: I can analyse my Sustainable Development Goals and my initial feedback to describe the scope of my project.
I can prepare my presentation for my stakeholders to talk about the sustainable development goals for games for good.
Ms Chowfin as the project manger surveyed different users and shared the results with the various scrums who analysed it for their own projects. Although, this was limited to Games at this stage, the VR project team, was exploring ways to make the games available on a platform that can be used on Chromebooks.
