Learning Objective:
Students will apply movement strategies effectively within their established teams in preparation for the assessed tournament.
This week students will play their first official games in their tournament teams ahead of next week’s assessed matches. The focus is on building team cohesion, communication, and consistent application of Ultimate movement strategies in a competitive setting.
Students will:
Apply throwing into space, V-cuts, and defensive positioning within team structures
Demonstrate effective one-on-one defense and communication
Build teamwork and game awareness under match conditions
Students will also resume their 2.4km run, following last week’s break due to Athletics Day.
Term 1 - Week 4
Learning objective:
Students will apply and refine movement strategies in a full-game context of Ultimate in preparation for assessment.
This week students will continue building their ability to apply Ultimate strategies in full-sided games. The focus is on performing consistently at an assessment level.
Students will:
Apply throwing into space with effective timing and decision-making
Demonstrate strong one-on-one defense
Create and use V-cut opportunities
Implement effective defensive field positioning and communication
Students will complete a mock assessment match under assessment conditions and receive feedback identifying strengths and areas for improvement before their final assessment.
Term 1 - Week 3
Learning objective:
Students will apply movement strategies within the context of modified Ultimate games.
This week Students will develop their understanding of the movement strategies of Ultimate. They will apply the four movement strategies of; Throwing into space, One on one defense, Creating V-cut opportunities and Defensive field play.
Students will also be organized into their tournament teams for the assessment as well as complete their second 2.4km run for the year.
