Here at Gresham High School, our club at the moment is small but mighty! We cooperate to design, build, and code robots as a team in a safe and fun community. Robotics is defined as “the branch of technology that deals with the design, construction, operation, and application of robots.” In our club, we work on past robots, new robots, business, and coding.
In our club, we have two 3-D printers, with which we can create many things. We can make some silly things, or we can make custom prints for our robot to aid in the inner workings!
We have gone on many Field trips, one was to Liberty High School to watch the First Challenge at the time. During this, we watched the competitions, walked around to look at the other teams, and took notes on how to improve. In the future, we plan to go on many field trips, especially when we compete in the First Challenge competition.
The following is things our team has talked about or said when asked, " Why do we like robotics, and what is so good about it?"
“Making things by hand and being able to see the inner workings of how things work and are made”
Expanding to new markets
“Building a robot”
“Hanging out with friends
Learning to code and build
“Be a part of something bigger and watch it come to life.”
