Grade Levels: 6th–8th
Physical Education is designed to promote lifelong fitness, teach the fundamentals of various sports, and develop teamwork, sportsmanship, and overall physical wellness. Students will participate in individual and team-based sports and engage in regular fitness activities.
Four Square: Rules, hand-eye coordination, quick reflexes, fair play
Soccer: Dribbling, passing, shooting, teamwork, game play
Flag Football: Throwing, catching, defensive strategies, basic rules, sportsmanship
Volleyball: Serving, bumping, setting, rotation, teamwork
Basketball: Dribbling, passing, shooting, defensive/offensive play, teamwork
Badminton: Serving, scoring, forehand/backhand shots, movement, rules
Kickball: Kicking, base running, fielding, teamwork, rules
Wiffle Ball: Batting, pitching, fielding, modified baseball rules, hand-eye coordination
Ultimate Frisbee: Throwing, catching, movement, scoring, spatial awareness, teamwork

Major: Test/Projects 50%
Minor: Participation/Quizzes 50%
Note: Students will not dress out for daily activities this school year.
Be prepared: Proper PE attire and shoes are required.
Be respectful: Treat classmates, equipment, and the teacher with respect.
Be safe: Follow instructions, use equipment properly, and maintain self-control.
Give effort: Try your best regardless of skill level.
Sneakers with non-marking soles
Water bottle (optional but encouraged)
Students with excused absences may complete written assignments or alternative activities to regain participation points.
