We need your help! We need people power to manage programs as well as create and staff special events.
Program and Event Coordinators
Every year, the PTA needs your help to lead and coordinate all of the special programs and events we host. The coordinator positions are in addition to the "on-the ground" volunteers to staff the events. Coordinators are responsible for creating plans, managing logistics, and purchasing needed materials. But fear not! We have detailed notes and guidance from many years to support all coordinators in putting together amazing events! Adult Volunteers
We need adult volunteers for just about every event the PTA hosts! When opportunities arise, we'll send email notifications and post to our Facebook page. Be sure to join both to receive the links to the sign up. You can also find active forms on the SignUp Genius Forms page.
IMPORTANT:
All adult volunteers at PTA-hosted events must complete the MCPS Volunteer Training: Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect. This must be completed at least 24 hours before your volunteer shift is scheduled to begin. We recommend volunteers complete this requirement as soon as possible. You will not be permitted to volunteer if you do not complete the training.
To check your volunteer training status to determine whether you need to re-take it, login to ParentVue / Parent Resources / myMCPS Classroom / Dashboard. Tainings completed in Y20-21 or earlier must be renewed.
SSL Volunteers
The PTA is thrilled when former students come back to volunteer at a myriad of events. To receive notification of SSL opportunities for your students, you must be subscribed to receive our emails. We will send email notifications when SSL opportunities arise. Students will be able to sign up via SignUp Genius on a first come, first served basis. Reimbursement Form
If you coordinated or staffed a PTA event - and paid for materials - please complete the reimbursement form found here and email it to treasurer@greenwood-pta.org. If you have any questions about reimbursements, please contact treasurer@greenwood-pta.org.
Please note that the deadline to submit requests for reimbursement is 30 days after the school year ends. No reimbursements will be made for expenses from the previous school year.
