Indy is a five year old lab retriever mix who belongs to Mrs. Keyes, GCSD School Psychologist. Indy has passed her AKC Canine Good Citizen tests and is certified through Therapy Dog International (TDI). TDI is a well established nonprofit organization dedicated to the regulating, testing, and registering of therapy dogs. Therapy dogs receive special training to interact with a variety of people in different settings, including schools. They can help kids in many ways- like helping people feel calm when they are upset or stressed and giving confidence for kids to read out loud.
Indy visits the elementary buildings twice weekly. Mrs. Keyes is her handler, which means she has been certified to work specifically with Indy as a therapy dog team member.
We are excited to have Indy as part of our school community but know that not all students will want to or be able to spend time with Indy. Student participation will be based on individual comfort levels and allergy considerations.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact

Lola, the “Unretired” Therapy Dog
Lola is also a TDI certified therapy dog, just like Indy! Lola and Ms. Sharp belong to each other and are a therapy dog team doing their visits in the Greenwich area. Lola has earned her AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy, AKC Canine Good Citizen, AKC Community Canine, AKC Trick dog and GCS "Teamwork" award since beginning her therapy dog journey.
Lola first came to GCS as a puppy and worked with students in speech, reading and in the classrooms, but she REALLY loved greeting boys and girls when they came to school. Lola always seemed to make things fun!
Lola and Ms.Sharp retired from GCS in 2020, but decided that they still wanted to work with kids and became a part of The Greenwich Library’s Story Hour and sometimes visits the Greenwich Youth Center.
Lola is very excited to come back to GCS and get to see some of her old friends and make some new ones!
